Low Tide Songs

The story
I lived for two months in a fishing cottage in Aldeburgh. Every morning at low tide I walked the same length of beach with a single microphone and a broken Walkman. The songs grew out of those walks — the sound of shells under boots, gulls arguing, a foghorn three miles off. The piano was added later, in a room with no door.
