The story

I spent the autumn at my grandmother's orchard in Michoacan, painting the same trees as their leaves changed. The series is meant to be read left to right, like a sentence about light.

Process

Casein mixed each morning. Three coats of rabbit-skin glue under each panel. Painted exclusively in the hour before sunset.
